Inspiration
I am well in my soul....not always, but that's when I know I'm really living well; when I'm Living well from the Inside Out.
It's here where I really live, where I breathe and believe in so much more than what I see. It's my soul's workshop filled with what I've come through, me in this moment and hints of where I'm headed in heart and soul.
A journal, really. The kind where I take ALL God's given me, form words and then give them away in little morsels from the seat of my soul to slowly sink into yours. It's the place I tinker and toy with life lessons, sharing hopes of peace and purpose. It's what I wish to wrap up as a gift for two girls who fill my heart with gratitude and gumption to live well each day!
I’ll be blessed to share a word once in a while that resonates with you! Now, pull up a chair and rest with me…..
JOY: Fake It 'Til You Make It
Some days we wake up overwhelmed to a world already revolving with worry and our battle begins in us before we even get up out of bed. But this is exactly what we’re trying to stop in our quest for joy! It's why we're slowing down, squelching the worry and doing things radically different this year!
Resolutions in Reverse
I’m a week late on resolutions and loving it! Sure, you might believe a blog all about wellness would’ve wanted to jump on the January bandwagon. Nope, not this one! You see, it’s all about authenticity here on Happily Whole. I ride the ‘inside-out’ train, intent on finding meaning and making connections before measuring waistlines and cutting carbs.
Let me explain what happened the week I intended to write resolutions into my New Year….
25 Days of Waiting
We’re in waiting. We wait for the coming, the coming of Christ, the Christ-child who offers the world the greatest gift ever known to mankind, the gift of eternity.
Today we walk into the season of Advent, a word literally meaning 'coming,' the coming of Christ. And I have a question for you; how will you spend this time waiting for the coming of the Christ-child?
My Political Position: Unwavering & Eternal
What do we do when things seems so unsure and we simply can’t see how either of our only options offer any semblance of sanity to an already sad situation?
We’re stuck. We’re stuck in the mess and muck of a nation so confused over moral standing that we find ourselves standing on the cliff of cultural crucifixion. Or maybe it’s worse. Maybe the masses find themselves so far from the edge where taking the necessary risk to regain global composure can’t even be spotted on the horizon.
What if Grace & Gratitude Were Always in Season?
What’s REALLY in-season right now? I mean beyond squash, pumpkin treats and early thoughts of Thanksgiving. Even beyond fashion forward trends, heavy makeup and the underlying aim of an unrealistic aesthetic causing women to go under-cover-crazy. Think past food fads and politics, beyond the social media craze and what kind of boots women are wearing.
From Head to Heart....living well in gratitude
Ephesians 5:20 Giving thanks always for all things to God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;
Colossians 3:17 And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
1 Thessalonians 5:18 In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
~Breathe deep and reread those words. Okay, now again.…once more.~
Prepare for a New Season with a Pure Heart
Whether we’re setting ourselves up for success in the kitchen or readying our hearts and homes for a new life season (ah hem…) preparation creates confidence, peace and far more productivity.
Benjamin Franklin once said, “By failing to prepare you are preparing to fail.” I love that! Real, simple and sweet (just like these little treats).
